the baked goods here are handcrafted and you can taste them straight away. Coffee particles or even bread convinced us very much.

Nice and cozy!

Not a nice experience. First the waitress "babbles" forever with the customer in front of me (people were standing outside the door, but private conversations were still more important to her) and then answering the phone without looking at me. The other lady behind the counter was busy with dishes, what the third party had to do was not clear to me. When I was finally served after 10 minutes (sorry, working customer is in a hurry at lunchtime), the realization came back at work that I would no longer buy a sandwich for 2.90 euros. Much too badly topped, the lettuce withered, the cucumber soupy and the roll itself tough as rubber. I just expect something different from a "real" baker. P.S. Unfortunately, there is no spelling there either. Or do you know what you want to say to the customer with "from integrated cultivation"? (See photo)

Hard to describe ...

We were searching for a breakfast spot and thought this would be a good place. The baked goods and cakes look very nice and are surely tasty. However we wanted to sit somewhere for breakfast. It's not clear from outside if you have to order at the counter, take a seat and wait for someone to attend or if you buy the breakfast stuff at the counter and take it to your seat yourself. So people (including us) kept asking while entering. The waitresses (two ladies) presented a mix between being annoyed with "stupid" questions of the customers and friendliness garnished with a sarcastic and at times snappy undertone here and there. They were talking about customers who left and about colleagues who were not present. Absolutely inappropriate. The interior is outdated and it doesn't look as if the place inside has experienced a make over in quite some time. It's not really a cozy place, no music no table decorations, nothing to invite you to stay longer. The service was fast and efficient, coffee was hot. The breakfast sets dont include coffee and everything has to be paid extra (packed bulk goods marmelade ) All in all not worth it and overpriced for what you get.

Always tasty and the staff are always friendly. Even extra orders such as round poppy seed braids are easily prepared.

I always go to this cafe when I'm on the Konstabler Markt. Quality, service is always top!

Was thrown out cursing by a tattooed bald man who stood behind the counter without a mask. Justification: his cafe is not an office. I just wanted to make two phone calls and go through my emails over a cup of coffee. I was a hotel manager for ten years and have never seen anything brutal. NEVER AGAIN!!

Great breakfast and good coffee, unfortunately not very many seats. The service tries hard, but because of sales at the counter and service at the same time, it can sometimes take a while.

The café looked promising, but we were disappointed by the sight. Although there wasn't much going on, the operation was overwhelmed. Only after repeated demand was our ordered pastry used and the frappe was hideous. When we asked the waitress to bring us a coffee and take the other drink with us, she was very rude and didn't want to listen to us. We didn't want anything bad from her and yet she snaps at us that it would cost money, which of course we are aware of. She ran away easily and was generally anything but professional. We don't come here anymore.

Quite bad experience at this Cafeteria, bad attitude towards us. What makes me uncomfortable is that the waiter asked why we stay in the seats when we have ordered a coffee to go. We just want to have a small pause and then go catch our train. Very uncomfortable experience.

One of the best remaining owner-managed bakeries in Frankfurt. Simply delicious! However, the opening times are not quite as stated on Google - only open until 6 p.m.

Very rich cakes

I just charged 8 € for a sandwich that had hardly anything on it. People pull their customers away. Still it tasted good.

Long waiting times, operation overwhelmed. It took 15 minutes until we were noticed. Cake and coffee ok.

Update 2020... The coffee used to be better and on the day that I was there the service by the waitress was bad (the cashier and the other lady on the bakery was good though) unfortunately they still do not accept card, only cash. The only good thing about the place is the food quality and the space that they have

Stay away from here. Wait more minutes in the queue for Starbucks rather than coming here. The lady behind the cake stand who doesn't do anything else while her colleague is trying to do all the work: what's your problem? You are behaving people horribly. What people need is only a smiling face or at least a neutral one. No customer needs a yelling waitress. Also your colleagues don't need someone just standing there. In addition to the lady, the cakes are also not that good. So, they just survive for the sake of location

Great variety of baked goods, breads, sandwiches. Hot breakfast items and coffee/espresso drinks available. Indoor seating. Local alternative to global chain coffee shop just steps away.

Wonderful, cozy Cafe. The latté was delightful. The pastries were delicious. The staff were warm and friendly to an English speaking tourist. Danke dir!

A little bit old fashioned but still nice place in Frankfurt centre to eat a donut/croissants/cakes. Has a nice and old history. Service quite quick, can take away. Coffee not so good but has a big variety of other drinks.

Average, run-of-the-mill place. It's fine, it's just nothing special. Note: the cashier doesn't speak English. This is just for awareness not to explain a lower review. It's wrong to mark them down for not speaking English. Why should she? She lives in Germany. Should tourists to the US rate establishments there lower because the shop keepers don't speak their language? Heck, most people out here speak at least two languages. Most people in the US speak one, and barely passable even then. -- TLDR be aware the cashier isn't English-speaking but don't judge their store on that.

Nice Cafe and good location. But very bad service. The cashier doesn't speak English and started shouting when I told her I didn't understand. So paid 10 euro and she returned coins without any bill or receipt

A nice coffee shop and bakery with different sandwich styles and desserts...a good tasty coffee too...fair price...ideal place for a breakfast and a coffee or tea break...

Decent food and coffee, but very overpriced. Seems to be a tourist trap, couldn't understand why a local would pay such prices. €3.70 for a small cup of brewed coffee, nothing fancy.
